#Photochallenge April 2013

Grunge

I must admit to being challenged on this one.
So the photograph I chose is one of my son and my grandson enjoying a walk in the park.
I used a grunge filter to get the effect. These are special days when my family are all around and I can see an image like this and realise that although we cannot see their faces the sentiment is clear.

Recreate A Book Title

I really struggled with today and tomorrow is looking even harder. So this was taken a while ago when I first discovered the little people. Its supposed to represent one of my favourite books "The Shellseekers by Rosamunde Pilcher. At least I tried!

Contrasts

This image isn't just about the weather.
Every year we see great changes in the seasons but this year must have been the most dramatic.
This is a special area of my garden for my mum. I often sit here and talk to her with a cup of tea. She's not there in person as she died in Dec 2010. There was snow on the ground then!
So not only does this image show the contrast in the weather but it also for me shows how much my life has changed since losing my mum.

Underneath

This one took some thinking about but I decided to go with what we found underneath Lake Windermere las month. My hubby is a scuba diver and he dived Lake Windermere as part of a Debris Dive. What was found was surprisingly interesting.Of course I made a collage of the stuff that was brought up!Look out for the sculpure that is being made with all this rubbish by students from local schools

Favourite Film

I love Bette Midler and the story behind this film has always been special. Friendship is one of the greatest gifts you can give to someone. I also love beaches so I have put together a collection of my favourite beaches in Cornwall Cleethorpes and Palm Cove in Australia

Snack

I've cheated a bit here. Any excuse to include a photograph of my granddaughter, Ella Mae. She loves ice cream and I managed to get this shot of her licking an ice-cream. I think she really looks as though she is enjoying it.

Fooled

I thought this one was quite funny. The ducks were really struggling on the ice and they could obviously see the water and were trying to peck at it.
March has been really cold this year and April isnt looking too good either. Maybe we are all being fooled by the weather.
I used an App called Over to put text on the picture and then used PicsPlay Pro to add a border.
